Do Not Bury Solar Energy in Connecticut

SHR Energy Management founder and Chief Executive, Noel Lafayette, has written an article for The CT Mirror. The piece discusses SB-9, passed in June 2018, and the state of solar energy in Connecticut. Lafayette asserts that going forward, CT must:

  • Maintain the current net-metering policies to provide a solar-friendly climate.
  • Learn from the experience of other states — successes such as Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey and failures such as Maine and Nevada.
  • Establish a thorough analysis of real-world data to determine the value of Solar to all parties: solar energy users, non-solar users, electric utilities, and the state economy.
